The Recyclable Material Screens are used for the efficient and very precise classification of recycling materials.
It prepares the input material for further processing and sorting.
It is precisely tailored to your recycling application.
SPALECK Recyclable Material Screens have been specially developed for classifying coarse and medium-sized recycling materials. They enable very precise separation of Material flows according to size. Typical input fractions are Material flows of around 20 to 300 mm. Recyclable Material Screens are therefore a central process step for Efficiency recycling and the downstream sorting and treatment processes. The SPALECK Recyclable Material Screens are Circular vibrating screens. It is important to know that these screening machines are optimally developed and built for the respective input material. As a result, SPALECK screening machines achieve very precise grain belts, which can then be processed in the subsequent process steps exactly according to material type and composition using sorting technology.

Your material. Your screening machine. This SPALECK principle naturally also applies to film, LVP, RDF, shredded plastics or PET recycling, for example. The Recyclable Material Screens are provided with the optimum screen linings, and the construction is designed for optimum retention time of the material on the deck. There are also useful equipment options such as dynamic fingers or special screen linings that get the most out of your material.
When sorting metals, long parts and contaminants carried over are bad for the sorting result. SPALECK Recyclable Material Screens are used successfully in metal recycling worldwide. The reason? We know your material and the optimum setting for the exact screening process. Find references here or use the SPALECK Test Center below for a test day with your material.

Flip-flop screening machines, or flip-flow screens, perform a central task in many recycling plants: the reliable and precise classification of Material flows with a high proportion of fines. They ensure exact separation cuts and precise fine screening, especially for moist, sticky or challenging recycling materials. This reduces the load on downstream sorting equipment and makes Recycling processes more efficient. Typical areas of application range from Construction and demolition waste, Municipal solid waste and incinerator bottom ash to applications in metal recycling and plastics recycling as well as the processing of Compost and organic material streams.

When processing Construction debris, the Recyclable Material Screens take over the classification of the input material. Mixtures of concrete, bricks, glass, wood, composite materials and impurities are reliably separated into defined particle sizes. Typical Separation sizes are, for example, 20 - 60 mm, 60 - 120 mm and larger than 120 mm. This produces clearly defined fractions that can be further processed in a targeted manner. Subsequent processing steps such as air classification, sensor sorting or manual sorting benefit from uniform grain bands with very good screening quality.

In the processing of waste incineration bottom ash, the Recyclable Material Screens serve as the central classification stage for mineral and metal-containing fractions. Slag, non-ferrous metals and residual materials are separated into the required particle sizes, enabling efficient processing of the slag. Typical classifications are made into fractions such as 0 - 60 mm, > 60 mm. The 0 - 60 mm fractions are then classified into smaller fractions using SPALECK flip-flow screening machines. This creates the ideal conditions for downstream sorting technology such as eddy current separators and sensor or combination sorters.

For mixed packaging waste, the Recyclable Material Screens ensure clean separation into coarse and medium fractions. Lightweight packaging, films, plastics and composites are separated and evenly classified. The fractions produced enable significantly more efficient further processing. NIR Sorting Machines/Sorters and sensor sorting devices receive the material in monolayer quality and in the full feed width of the sorting device.

In household waste processing, the Recyclable Material Screens play a central role in fractionating the input material. Heterogeneous waste streams are separated into defined size ranges, allowing downstream sorting systems to work in a more targeted manner. Typical Separation sizes are in the range of 20 - 60 mm, 60 - 120 mm, 120 - 250 mm and > 250 mm. In large plants, several Recyclable Material Screens are often combined to enable even deeper separation and sorting.

In metal recycling, the Recyclable Material Screens are used to separate complex feed materials into precisely defined grain classes. Auto Shredder Residue, Shredder light and heavy fractions as well as electronic scrap are efficiently classified. Thanks to the three-dimensional screening process of SPALECK screening machines, the fractions produced are virtually free of long parts and thus significantly increase the efficiency of downstream sorting processes. Metal-containing components can be separated in a more targeted manner and valuable materials can be recovered more effectively. The optimum result is achieved with ActiveFEED feeding technology.

In plastic processing plants, the Recyclable Material Screens ensure uniform classification of mixed plastic streams. Different component sizes, film components and rigid plastics are separated into defined fractions. The screening machine is configured in such a way that the material has an optimum retention time on the Screen deck in order to further increase the sorting quality.

For organic material flows such as biowaste or Compost, the Recyclable Material Screens are used for coarse classification and separation of the material. Larger components are reliably separated and prepared for downstream processes. Uniform fractionation facilitates further processing and ensures better process control throughout the plant. In practice, the SPALECK Tensioning shaft cassettes are often used in combination with a Flio-Flow Screening process, e.g. for very moist and sticky material. Alternatively, the SPALECK AutoCLEAN screening technology is used here.

When processing Waste wood, the Recyclable Material Screens reliably separate different Particle sizes from each other. Pieces of wood, impurities and adhering material are classified into defined fractions. The Recyclable Material Screens are virtually cleaning-free. Precise classification is important, for example, to ensure that only material of the optimum size is fed into the downstream energy recovery process. This increases the overall efficiency of processing and recycling.

SPALECK Recyclable Material Screens are also available specifically for classifying used batteries and rechargeable batteries. They not only separate the batteries according to size, but also reliably screen out impurities. In this way, they lay the foundation for downstream sorting to be carried out without any problems and with the same type of material. The picture shows the application in front of an XRT X-ray sorting system.
