Screening machines
The 3D COMBI screening machine is used for exact classification and screening of the fines. The upper deck is a Recyclable Material Screens and the lower deck is a Flip-Flow Screening Machine.
As a 2-in-1 solution, it offers you perfect sieving quality for maximum yield – and with a very small footprint.
The SPALECK 3D COMBI screening machine is designed for the precise classification of materials that are Difficult to screen, moist and sticky. Typical areas of application are metal recycling, Construction and demolition waste or organic materials, for example. The upper deck is equipped with a SPALECK recyclable material screening deck with optional Tensioning shaft cassettes or AutoCLEAN technology, for example. The lower deck is a flip-flow screening machine.
3D COMBI screens stand for very precise classification of the recycling material into up to five fractions. The fines are reliably screened out and the other fractions are also of first-class quality. This is the basis for successful sorting using, for example, eddy current sorters, NIR, X-ray, sensor or LIBS sorting technology.

We know from experience: Screen quality and optimum material feed are decisive for the Efficiency of the entire Recycling process.
With the 3D COMBI, you can produce up to five fractions that are cleanly separated from each other. Each individual Screening sizes offers the defined and required classification properties for the downstream sorting technology.
They stand for our philosophy “BEST SCREENING. BEST SORTING.” with which you achieve the best recycling results.
Where previously several machines were required, the 3D COMBI takes on both tasks in just one process step.
SPALECK 3D COMBI screening machines have become an integral part of modern recycling plants. As a central component, they simplify the system design and can be easily integrated into the system.
Retrofitting, i.e. replacing two machines with one 3D COMBI, is also possible, as the video example shows.
Recycling plant operators benefit from high screen quality and optimized processes.
Based on your Recycling process and your goals, we work with you to configure your new 3D COMBI to be 100% tailored to your material and its Efficiency.
Benefit from the SPALECK ModularDESIGN+ concept, with which your 3D COMBI can also be optimally adapted in the future – whether for material changes or desired machine settings.
This gives you additional investment security.
You need high-performance technology for recycling and processing. Each material has its own specific requirements for Screening technology. As our SPALECK 3D Combination Screening Machine was developed with leading processors, it is perfectly tailored to your needs and applications.
Recycling must be worthwhile. The 3D COMBI – like all SPALECK screening machines – is a reliable team player for your processing.
As a 2-in-1 solution, you also save money, steel construction and space requirements during installation.
From day one, it delivers ultimate Efficiency.
You can find an example of this in one of the most modern non-ferrous processing plants in Europe.
Every 3D COMBI screening machine is developed and built to process your material. It is therefore optimally tailored to your material so that your Recycling process can benefit optimally from the 3D COMBI.
We build every SPALECK 3D COMBI 100% tailored to your recycling goals. The basis is the complete process and its requirements for classifying and Fine screening your material.
Optimized for metal recycling, SPALECK 3D COMBI screening machines deliver first-class screening sizes. Impurities, fluff in ASR or unwanted long parts are screened out in a targeted manner. See for yourself with a screening test with your material in the SPALECK Test Center.
High tonnages, material that is Difficult to screen – this is exactly what the SPALECK 3D COMBI is designed for. When processing Commercial waste, it reliably screens the minerals and fines and classifies the rest into the required Screening sizes for the sorting technology.
C&D Waste means harsh working conditions for the Recycling technology used. The 3D COMBI screening machines are optimally designed for Construction and demolition waste. With optimized screen linings and screen mats, with smart technology such as the SmartSUSPENSION air suspension or the SPALECK CONNECT technology.
We would be happy to show you reference plants that use the 3D COMBI screening machines for the production of their high-quality Compost. Useful configuration options such as protection against glass breakage, Tensioning shaft cassettes in the upper deck or the unique AutoCLEAN self-cleaning screen media are simply convincing.

3D COMBI screening machines perform the multi-stage classification of recycling materials in recycling plants in just one step. Their particular strength is their first-class screening capacity and screening quality, which is the essential basis for sorting, recovery and further processing of the recycling materials. You can find typical applications here:

The 3D COMBI does a great job when recycling Construction and demolition waste. The fines are effectively separated, e.g. with Screening sizes of 0 - 20 mm, and the rest of the material is classified for subsequent sorting. Typical Screening sizes here are 20 - 60 mm, 60 - 120 mm and larger than 120 mm. Downstream sorting technology such as eddy current sorters or sensor sorters are specifically supplied with the correct material size.

Commercial waste consists of very heterogeneous material. The fine fraction must be kept away from the sorting equipment, while the rest must be sorted into clearly defined material sizes. Typical classifications include fractions such as 0-20 mm, 20 - 60 mm, 60 - 120 mm and > 120 mm. This creates ideal conditions for downstream sorting technology.

3D COMBI screening machines have become an integral part of metal recycling. Internationally, they help to optimize sorting. The reason: they deliver up to 5 fractions with which the non-ferrous metals can be optimally recycled. With our philosophy BEST SCREENING. BEST INFEED. FOR BEST SORTING QUALITY., 3D COMBI screens make a significant contribution to Efficiency in metal recycling.

Recycling Electronic waste requires a lot of experience and the right technology. The 3D COMBI screening machine offers both. It helps to separate contaminants in a targeted manner and to concentrate on the profitable, trouble-free processing of electronic waste. It also delivers clean grain belts with a focus on the downstream sorting technology.

For organic material flows such as biowaste or Compost, the Recyclable Material Screens are used for coarse classification and separation of the material. Larger components are reliably separated and prepared for downstream processes. Uniform fractionation facilitates further processing and ensures better process control throughout the plant. In practice, the SPALECK Tensioning shaft cassettes are often used in combination with a Flio-Flow Screening process, e.g. for very moist and sticky material. Alternatively, the SPALECK AutoCLEAN screening technology is used here.

AutoCLEAN was developed in the SPALECK Test Center and with and for real recycling applications. The system has been tried and tested in practice and shows optimum results in real recycling plants. We will be happy to provide you with specific references and results for specific materials and applications on request.
The easiest way is to test your original material in the SPALECK Test Center. Alternatively, we offer you the option of inspecting reference systems. In both cases, you can see how AutoCLEAN behaves with your material and what positive effects AutoCLEAN has on the treatment process.
AutoCLEAN aims to reduce operating costs in the Recycling process – in particular through less cleaning effort, optimized production and treatment processes and optimal use of screening technology. In many applications, this results in rapid economic benefits.
Yes, AutoCLEAN improves plant availability. This is because fewer clogged Screen areas mean fewer cleaning or unplanned interventions and therefore higher availability of the screening machine and the entire processing line.
AutoCLEAN is aimed at operators of recycling plants, particularly in areas such as metal recycling, Municipal solid waste and commercial waste processing, slag treatment, building material recycling or compost processing – wherever material behavior can complicate the screening process.
No, AutoCLEAN is not suitable for Flip-flow screens. As a rule, however, Flip-flow screens do not require any special cleaning support for the screen mats due to their flip-flow principle.
